Custom Orders

Custom orders refer to anything that is not available on our regular menu or something that is needed for a group of 20 or more. This could be cakes for weddings, bridal showers, birthdays or any other special event.

Cake flavors are chosen from our special "Custom Cake Flavors" menu.  Custom cake flavors can also be selected from most of the cakes on our regular menu.

Custom Orders can also be sandwich platters, specialty cookie platters, breakfast platters, etc. Please call the shop for additional information.


Custom Cakes for Weddings & Special Occasions

~ The minimum requirement for a custom cake is 20 people ~

 

Tastings are often scheduled for custom cakes. We request a two week lead time for all custom cakes. This is necessary in order to provide you with the utmost attention and dedication to your event. There also might be special items required that would take time to create. We want to be sure and have enough time to create the masterpiece you have imagined!

 
 
 

Appointments are also required to discuss custom cakes. We realize you have a busy schedule, so we try to be flexible when scheduling. (We try not to schedule appointments or tastings between the hours of 12PM and 2PM.) Please call the bakery at least five days in advance to schedule an appointment to discuss a custom cake so we can give you our undivided attention.

 

Custom Cake Flavors

~ Each cake is made up of three layers of cake and two layers of filling ~

  • DEVIL’S FOOD – Moist chocolate cake made with dark, Belgian chocolate.

    RICH CHOCOLATE BUTTERMILK CAKE  – Moist, tender dark chocolate cake.

    LEMON OR VANILLA BUTTERMILK CAKE – Similar in texture to a pound cake, but not as heavy.   Moist cake scented with lemon oil or pure vanilla.

    CARROT CAKE  – Moist cake full of fresh, shredded carrots, walnuts and cinnamon.*

    COCONUT CAKE – Tender, white cake made with egg whites, coconut milk and toasted coconut.

    BANANA CAKE – Moist cake made with real bananas.

    PUMPKIN CAKE – Great choice for an Autumn event!  Moist cake full of pumpkin flavor.

    *Carrot cakes are usually filled with cream cheese frosting, but look best with vanilla buttercream on the outside, especially for a wedding.

    *Carrot cake can be made without the walnuts.

    SPONGE CAKES – Sponge cakes are lighter in texture than the above listed cakes.

    ~ Most cakes are brushed with an alcohol based syrup.  Please notify us if you prefer an alcohol free syrup. ~

  • PASTRY CREAM

    TIRAMISU (Mascarpone flavored with sugar, espresso and coffee liqueur)

    VANILLA MASCARPONE (Mascarpone flavored with sugar, pure vanilla and cream)

    MOUSSE:
    ~

    ~ White Chocolate
    ~ Vanilla
    ~ Gianduja
    ~ Mocha
    ~ Raspberry
    ~ Strawberry

    RASPBERRY JAM

    FRESH RASPBERRIES (Usually added as an enhancement to one of the above fillings.)

  • The outside of your cake will be covered with either butter cream, fondant or ganache.  Our butter cream is made with real butter, egg whites and sugar.  Never shortening!   Its texture is smooth and creamy.

    Available buttercream flavors include:
    ~
    Vanilla Bean or Vanilla
    ~ Mocha
    ~ Chocolate
    ~ Hazelnut
    ~ Orange/Grand Marnier
    ~ Lemon
    ~ Pistachio
    ~ Passion Fruit
    ~ Coconut
    ~ White Chocolate
    ~ Raspberry (Can be raspberry colored or white)

    DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING
    Still made with butter, but darker with a more intense chocolate flavor.

    GANACHE
    Ganache is made with dark chocolate and cream.  It will create a shiny, elegant finish to your cake.

    FONDANT
    Fondant is a “rolled” icing.  It covers the butter cream layer of your cake.  It is best used when you want an especially smooth look or a “painted” decoration.

* Minimum custom cakes are for 20 people and requires a minimum of 14 days notice, depending on the season

* We ask that an appointment be arranged for cakes serving more than 20 people

* Tastings are $20 which is then deducted from the price of your final cake
